He first appeared in "Instinct". In "The Runaway", Jim Shannon and Nathaniel Taylor question him as a possible mole because he was outside the colony between the time that Leah arrived and the time the Sixers came looking for her, but Stanley said he was completing a field study on wax moss and that he didn't know anything about the Sixers. Then Malcolm Wallace arrived and defended him, and argued that questioning him without evidence simply because he came on the Sixth Pilgrimage was "guilt by association".
