Population Control is a government agency formed as a department of the police force, which enforces Population Law, also known as "A Family is Four" law. People who are suspected of breaking this rule can be reported to this authority, and are inspected.
Events[]
Back in 2147, the Shannon Family gets investigated by Population Control because of a report. Although Jim Shannon tries to stop them from investigating, they trash the apartment in search of a violation. Zoe Shannon, who is hidden in an air vent, makes a sound to alert the officers, leading to her discovery. Jim fights the officers, and is arrested and taken to Golad Prison. He was originally going to be in prison for six years, but he escaped two years after being arrested in order to join his family on the Tenth Pilgrimage to Terra Nova.
Punishments[]
The punishment for disobeying the laws set by population control is being fined an unspecified amount. Jim Shannon, however, is taken to prison for fighting multiple officers when they attempted to grab Zoe from the air vent.
