A pitcher plant was a type of carnivorous plant that fed off of insects. One was brought home from the market by Zoe Shannon. It was similar to modern-day pitcher plants, except for the fact that it could quickly snap shut its lid like a Venus flytrap.
In "Occupation-Resistance", a head of the Phoenix Group mentioned "plants that eat children" as a reason no one should want to live in Terra Nova, suggesting a much larger carnivorous plant exists in the jungles.
