Character Biography[]
Before Terra Nova[]
Not much is known about him except that he was part of a private army called Phoenix Group in 2149. This army was trained in a dome near Chicago and later took over Hope Plaza to travel to Terra Nova on the Eleventh Pilgrimage in order to take control of the colony.
At Terra Nova[]
Hooper reported directly to Lucas Taylor.
Hooper arrived with the rest of Phoenix Group to Terra Nova and took over the colony. He ran a convoy out to a ridge near Triple Junction and explained to Lucas and Weaver how the valley they were overlooking was rich with meteoric iron but first they had to detonate a pyrosonic device to clear the land of plants and animals. Hooper accompanied Lucas to the location and oversaw the arming of the device, then drove Lucas back to the ridge. Hooper was at the Portal Terminus when they were sending through the first shipment of ore back when Hope Plaza was destroyed and they lost communications. Hooper and the rest of Phoenix Group packed up and headed for the Badlands.
Trivia[]
In an extended scene of "Occupation-Resistance", Lucas briefly talks to his officers when the pyrosonic bomb is being placed in the forest. He suggests that a few soldiers should stay behind in order to guard the bomb until the explosion. Hooper first thinks this is a joke before realizing that Lucas is serious. In the end, no one is being sacrificed.

- Why did he and the rest of the Phoenix Group head to the Badlands?
